Jury awards $2.8 million to victim of crash

A 42-year-old single mother of two who suffered permanent injuries after another driver struck her vehicle head-on was represented in court by Louis Hollingsworth. The baby suffered severe brain damage, and the cost for care for their child is and will continue to be a substantial amount. Hollingsworth also represented the couple in a suit against the hospital; that case settled for an undisclosed amount of money.

Attorney Louis Hollingsworth convinced a jury to award his client, Russell James, $300,000 for his pain and suffering after he was seriously injured in a fight with three Marana El Campo Tire shop employees after complaining about a repair job. Prior to the trial James offered to settle with El Campo for $50,000, but El Campo refused and offered to pay no more than $20,000. Hollingsworth took the case to trial and more than tripled the amount James had originally asked for.
